After a while, it can be tough to find new things to do with your roomies. You fall into your routines and do not really talk to each other outside the few minutes every day that your schedules overlap. A great way to rekindle your friendship is to set up a roommate game night with your entire household. Try out these fun games and activities together as a great way to reconnect and have a blast!

1.) Classic Board Games

The classics are the classics for a reason, and there is often do not better way to fall back in with your friends than  to revisit some old favorites. Break out the Sorry, Chess, or Scrabble for some of the most tried-and-true ways to have fun. Roll the dice, move your pieces, and break a bottle of wine for an evening that will be both nostalgic and competitive for everyone in the house. If you’re feeling adventurous, try looking up alternate rules of the games you know and love and doing something a little different.

2.) Trivia Questions

Trivia games are not just a thing to do at bars on weeknights. You can easily make up your own trivia night with your friends at home. Buy a set of trivia cars or use some colored markers or gel to make your own. Be sure to include a good mix of stumpers and easy questions to keep the game interesting! Before you know it, you and your roomies will be your local trivia masters.

3.) The Great Roommate Bake Off

This idea for your roommate game night might not technically be a game, but it’s definitely a lot of fun. Send your whole family to the oven to have each of your roommates bake their best cakes, pies, or cookies, then spend the rest of the night pigging out and judging each other’s best efforts. You could even pull in an impartial panel of judges from your friends outside the house to decide the winner. The person who baked the best dish is crowned Best Baker and is exempt from cleaning up the flour, sugar, and miscellaneous baking utensils that are probably scattered around the kitchen.

4.) Dungeons and Dragons

Twenty years ago, Dungeons and Dragons was only the purview of nerds and the societally challenged, a way for people without friends to pretend their lives were better than they actually were. Today, though, D & D is a game that can be enjoyed by everyone, if you’re a long time fan of role-playing games or are just looking to try something different. Invest in a good notebook and a set of dice and draw up the fantasy character of your dreams. Soon you and your room will spend your evenings having adventures together as your alter-egos Mergoth, Tim, andLesos The Swift, instead of sitting around in your separate bedrooms.

5.) Poker

If you and your friends want to increase the stakes in your night game, why not play some poker? Whether you like Blackjack, Texas Hold’em, or Seven-Card Stud, poker is the perfect combination of skill and chance. Which of your housemates do you think has the best poker face? And who’s going to be counting cards? We recommend bidding with household chores as a way to raise the stakes of the game without emptying out your wallet.
